Abstract| Students will explore the role of relevance of orthodox photojournalism in the age of digital media and the changing role of the journalist in the contemporary context, including that of the freelance journalist. This subject will develop students' theoretical and practical skills in the meaning and placement of image and text in magazine media. Student will devise, source and produce a dummy magazine and contribute a section to the existing online publication. |

- editorial choice in relation to the placement of text and image
- photo opportunities and how to identify and use them
