MGT381 Project Management and Regional Economics (8)

Abstract

This subject has been created for Chinese students who will have careers in the cross cultural 'Western' and Chinese environment. Two key areas of international business are introduced.

1) International and regional economics including trade and development theory.

2) Project management concepts applied to regional and international enterprise.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
Explain the scope of and trends in international business;
Analyse the implications of globalisation of world trade;
Assess the trading environment of international business;
Appreciate the differences between managing an international business and a purely domestic business;
Determine strategic planning skills as it applies to international business.
