MRS562 Computerised Tomography Practice (8)

Abstract

This subject offers the theoretical components to the modality of computerised tomography (CT). It is offered concurrently with the application of the practical aspects of CT. The aim is to provide the theoretical bases of the practice of CT scanning and the mechanism to acquire information in order to perform as a professional in the field of CT. Emphasis will be placed upon the scanning techniques, scan protocols, clinical indications of the scan, pathology shown and patient management. The subject also offers theoretical mechanisms to develop CT management policies and CT safety procedures for practice in CT scanning.
