POD415 Evidence Based Practice in Podiatry (8)

Abstract

This subject allows students to further develop an understanding of the importance of evidence based practice in the podiatry profession. Students will explore a range of relevant research methodologies and develop skills in critically evaluating current research in clinical practice. Students will have the opportunity to research a contemporary issue of relevance to the podiatry profession and will undertake a review of the literature. Presentation of this literature review to a group of peers, academics and practitioners, will provide students with an opportunity for critical review of their work. This subject ensures that non-Honours students gain skills in critical analysis and writing for research, to enable their development as potential practitioner-researchers.
