AbstractThis subject deals with disabilities encountered in community and welfare settings. Students learn to give accurate descriptions of such disabilities and the abilities possessed by the persons involved, to be aware of individual variations, to describe the origins of disability and to understand the psychological and social concomitants of disability. They also gain limited experience in the management and self management of persons with a disability. |
