THL459 The Ageing Person: Challenges for Body and Spirit (8)
AbstractThis subject provides a holistic framework for the practice of pastoral and spiritual care in later life. It focuses on changes in the ageing body, experiences of ageing, the common illnesses of ageing, and is set against a theological understanding of health and illness in later life. Positive ageing and the process of self-transcendence, while living with suffering, pain and bodily disabilities are also examined. |
