THL512 Contemporary Theology in a Global Context (16)

Abstract

This subject engages critically with major figures and movements in the twentieth and twenty-first century theology, including authors in the four major fields of Protestant Theology, Catholic Theology, Contemporary Critical Theology and Contextual Theology. Students will engage critically with a selection of these theologies in relation to their contexts, tasks and methods.

be able to demonstrate independent research, and writing and communicaton skills

Catholic Theology: Neo-scholastic movement; Ressourcement; Theology post Vatican II
Contemporary Critical Theology: Liberation Theology; Feminist Theology; Ecotheology; Other Contemporary Theologies
Contextual Theologies: Indigeneous, Asian and PacificTheologies; Other Emerging Contextual Theologies
