Normal course duration is the effective period of time taken to complete a course when studied Full-time (Full-time Equivalent Duration). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern for the actual length of study. Not all courses are offered in Full-time mode.
Applicants for the Bachelor of Border Management must meet the following Admission Requirements:
* A completed High School Certificate (or equivalent) with an ATAR of at least 70 (including adjustment factors).
OR
* Successful completion of at least two Bachelor degree level subjects (or Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) equivalent) or higher in any discipline.
OR
* A completed Vocational Education and Training (VET) Certificate IV or higher, studied at a TAFE or Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or equivalent.
OR
* A completed Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC) or bridging program studied at a TAFE, Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or University, or equivalent.
OR
* Partial completion of a Vocational Education and Training (VET) Diploma, of at least 50% from a TAFE or Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or equivalent.
OR
* Work experience, within the same industry as the course profile, of at least two years full time or equivalence, demonstrated by a detailed resume.
English Language Proficiency
Minimum CSU English Language Proficiency Requirements apply.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.
The course consists of:
Ten (10) core subjects (128 points)

Electives
Students must complete a further 64 credit points (8 Subjects) from electives. Although not compulsory, students are encouraged to take the following four subjects to cover 32 points:

CUS305 Immigration Law, Policy and Practice (8)
Students can choose to study electives from wider CSU offerings including those offered by the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security (AGSPS), which are recommended. Students should choose 200 or 300 level subjects and seek the permission of the Course Director before enrolling. At least 16 points of the elective subjects chosen must be at the 300 level. The decision to support or reject a students elective enrolment will be solely focused on whether or not, in the Course Directors opinion, the elective choice would contribute to the learning outcomes for the course.
