Applicants for the Bachelor of Education (Health and Physical Education) must meet the following admission requirements.
A completed High School Certificate (or equivalent) with an ATAR of at least 65 (inclusive of bonuses)s.
OR
Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
OR
A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification
OR
50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification
OR
Successful completed of a Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

English Language Proficiency Entry Requirements for Teacher Education Preparation Programs
English Language Proficiency entry requirements are: an overall IELTS (or equivalent) score of 7.5 (with no score below 7 in reading and writing, and a score of no less than 8 in speaking and listening).

Credit will be granted for the subject EHR221 Conditioning and Physical Activity (8 points) based upon Cert III / Cert IV / Diploma of Fitness, Australian Institute of Fitness / Australian Institute of Applied Sciences OR SIS502 / SIS402 / SIS303 15 TAFE NSW.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 264 points.
The Bachelor of Education (Health and Physical Education) consists of 33 core subjects and 1 restricted elective (264 points). The core subjects are made up of 10 exercise science discipline subjects, 11 education subjects, 1 indigenous cultural studies subject, 2 curriculum method subjects, 4 physical education subjects, 3 health subjects, a literacy subject, and a community cultural education program (0 points). The restricted elective involves choosing between two mathematics subjects. Subjects have a value of 8 points unless otherwise stated.
NOTE: Recent national and NSW Government changes related to pre-service teacher standards of literacy and numeracy indicate that state and/or national tests of literacy and numeracy must be satisfactorily completed by all students prior to their final professional experience placement and graduation. For this reason additional pre-requisites pertaining to literary and numeracy may be applied to subjects as required.
