Normal Course Duration

Bachelor of Veterinary Technology

Full-time 3 years (6.0 sessions)

Part-time 6.0 years (12.0 sessions)

Normal course duration is the effective period of time taken to complete a course when studied Full-time (Full-time Equivalent Duration). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern for the actual length of study. Not all courses are offered in Full-time mode.

Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

A completed High School Certificate with an ATAR of 70 (including adjustment factors) or equivalent.
OR
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
OR
Successful completion of two University level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
OR
A completed AQF Certificate IV or higher level qualification.
OR
A minimum of three years relevant work experience AND documentary evidence of motivation to undertake university study in Veterinary Technology. Such evidence must include a statement by the applicant addressing their work experience, the reason(s) for their interest in the course and what they have done (or will do) to prepare for the course. A statement of support (recommendation) from an employer or a professional person is highly desirable.
