Admission Criteria

Applicants should hold:

• a Master of Islamic Studies from Charles Sturt University with a Distinction average plus evidence of research; or
• a Bachelor of Islamic Studies (Honours) with Class 1 or Class 2 Division 1 from Charles Sturt University; or
• an award from another accredited tertiary institution, accepted by the Research Advisory Committee as equivalent to one of the above awards, and/or have demonstrated in study or professional performance potential to undertake research at a Master degree level.

Admission to candidature is subject to approval by the Research Advisory Committee.

Credit

This is a research degree. There are no special credit arrangements for this degree.

Graduation Requirement

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Course Structure

Students should contact the Field of Research Coordinator to discuss possible research topics.

The course consists of 64 points comprising one core research subject. Each student will be allocated one of the following research subject codes and will enrol in that subject for the period of their candidature:

ISL601 Master Research (Islamic Studies) part-time (64 points)
ISL602 Master Research (Islamic Studies) full-time (64 points)
