Full-time 1.5 years (3.0 sessions)

Part-time 3.0 years (6.0 sessions)

Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound

Full-time 1.0 years (2.0 sessions)

Part-time 2.0 years (4.0 sessions)

Normal course duration is the effective period of time taken to complete a course when studied Full-time (Full-time Equivalent Duration). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern for the actual length of study. Not all courses are offered in Full-time mode.

Admission Criteria

Master of Medical Ultrasound

Applicants will:
* hold a medical radiation science, allied health, nursing or medical degree
* provide evidence that they have access to a clinical ultrasound department under the  supervision of an ASAR (Australasian Sonographers Accreditation Registry) accredited sonographer for at least 3 days per week the duration of the course.

 

Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound

Credit will be given to students who have relevant postgraduate equivalent qualifications. However, this will be assessed on an individual basis.

Articulation

The Master and Graduate Diploma make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.

Graduation Requirement

Master of Medical Ultrasound

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.

Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
