Samson Agboola International Travel Prize

Criteria

Offered to students with demonstrated academic excellence and who contribute to the positive enhancement of the discipline of Food Science and/or Chemistry. Nominees will have demonstrated outstanding student achievement and leadership in their discipline, and/or commitment to the promotion of public understanding of, or participation in, science. Students will complete an application form. A selection panel will review applications and make a determination of the successful applicant. Applications must be submitted by 28th February in the year in which the prize is to be awarded.

Eligibility

Students enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy or Master of Philosophy with research activity focussed on chemistry and/or food science.

Value

$1,000 contribution toward travel to a relevant international conference or visiting international laboratories/institutions for the purpose of developing collaboration, presenting results or conducting experiments. Travel booking must be made via CSU Travel. Will not be provided as a personal payment to the student.

Certificate text

Named in memory of Associate Professor Samson Agboola, this prize is awarded to the Research Higher Degree student who has demonstrated academic excellence and provided a significant contribution to the positive enhancement of the discipline of Food Science and/or Chemistry.
