This subject requires the student to carry out an investigation of a topic in sustainable agriculture selected by the student in conjunction with the student's supervisors. The results of the investigation will be written up as a thesis and presented for examination.

Each student shall: - pursue either a program of research relevant to the chosen specialisation studies resulting in a thesis that is an original and significant contribution to knowledge; OR - the development and implementation of an extensive sustainable agriculture project or document which demonstrates the capacity of the student to perform at the highest level in business and which appropriately utilises the skills developed OR - the development and implementation of a proposal for extensive policy action which demonstrates the capacity of the student to provide advice at the highest levels of public policy determination OR - conduct a research project based on the approved thesis proposal, working with supervisor(s) approved by the University; and present research findings in an approved thesis form for examination by examiners approved by the University.
