In this subject students will investigate the pharmacokinetics and dynamics of drugs that are used in the pre-hospital environment. There will be particular emphasis on the theory and practise of pain management. Fluid, electrolyte and acid-base disturbances will be examined in order to develop a sound understanding of the management of patients presenting with these problems.
