The purpose of this subject is to establish and extend the riding and training skills of students in the three Olympic disciplines of Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing. Students are expected to develop and demonstrate basic abilities in all three areas and to extend their capabilities in one selected discipline. This subject is structured to aid students to meet and exceed the practical riding skills requirements of the National Coaching accreditation scheme level 1 general instructors examination.
Students are encouraged to prepare for, and compete in, official competition.

Enrolment is restricted to full fee paying students enrolled in the Certificate of Equestrian instruction.
Each student enrolled in this subject must provide a horse for each lesson. The horse must be "sound" and of suitable temperament and ability.
The student is responsible for the maintenance and presentation of the horse and equipment in a suitable, safe and well maintained manner for each lesson.
