ASC143 provides a broad introduction to the fields of horse structure, nutrition, health and husbandry. This subject consolidates a base level of information relating to the management, health and welfare of performance horses and horses in general. Students are expected to know basic information and be able to locate reliable sources of more detailed information on topics relevant to horse management. The content of this subject covers the requirements of the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme plus extra material.
