Attendance at the residential school enables students to develop competence in a number of laboratory and clinical skills.
This subject will introduce students to the multi-million dollar veterinary pharmaceutical industry, the adventure of drug discovery, and the application of these drugs in various animal industries. The work of bodies that approve, regulate and monitor the use of therapeutic agents in animals will also be examined. The principles of drug action will be explained and the major classes of therapeutic agent will be investigated. For those student studying by distance education, this subject has a 3 day compulsory residential school.
