The subject involves an in-depth examination of extensive ruminant production systems as well as some of the more intensive aspects of production where relevant to particular species (excluding feedlots). The focus is largely directed towards herd/flock management, with particular emphasis on husbandry, production efficiency, reproduction, and market/profit drivers.
