This subject introduces key practical and theoretical aspects of strategic business decision making. Students will understand how an organisation's mission, strategies and objectives provide an overarching framework for the development of the planning process. Students will undertake an in-depth situational analysis; considering both theoretical business models such as sustainable competitive advantage and current industry trends. This approach allows for the development of innovative and entrepreneurial ways of thinking as well as knowledge and skills in the areas of strategic analysis, strategic choice and strategic implementation.
