This subject introduces students to the international sale of goods which necessarily involves the transport of goods by sea, air or land across borders. The carriage of those goods generates both risks and costs. The contractual and documentary aspects of international trade, including how such issues, risks and costs impact on customs activities in areas such as declaration processing and customs valuation will be addressed. In addition, students will learn to identify sources of information on international business transactions and to apply this information in the workplace.
