This subject provides students with an overview of the governance and integrity issues raised by the regulation of cross-border trade and how that can impact adversely on all aspects of border management. The subject will focus on the Customs environments where high levels of corruption can significantly reduce the effectiveness of Customs administrations and affect trade policy and development. The subject will examine international efforts and other policies and strategies that will help improve governance and integrity in Customs and the other regulatory authorities at the border
