The primary focus of this subject is to provide the scientific background, knowledge and assessment skills related to the nutritional needs of healthy active people. This subject will address current concepts and controversies relating to both health and sports nutrition by linking information in the fields of exercise science and nutrition. This subject will also explore the role of nutrition in optimising training responses and adaptations, sports performance, health and well-being, and disease prevention in both children and adults.
