This subject provides a doctoral level introduction to research and introduces candidates to the first two ajor challenges of their work, the literature review and the development of their research rationale. Candidates will gain the tools of the social science researcher, as well as establish familiarity with the various processes and protocols of candidature. At the completion of this subject candidates will be able to clearly articulate the purpose of their research, understand the ethics application process and discuss critically the key literature informing their research topic.
