This subject explores agricultural education as a medium for the development of adolescent children in the secondary school. It examines current Years 7-12 syllabus guides and outcomes, curriculum material and recent research in technology and agricultural education and provides the context for a developmental framework for education. The focus of the subject is on promoting skills in selecting, planning and implementing teaching sequences within a constructivist learning model and productive pedagogies frameworks. In addition, it addresses programming and standards referencing assessment practices.
