This introductory subject gives an overview of how natural resources are managed by environmental scientists. Topics include an introduction to environmental systems, their multi-disciplinary and complex nature, and approaches to managing them. On completion students have a comprehensive understanding of the nature of environmental systems and the ability to apply their knowledge and skills to make sound judgements regarding courses of action to achieve conservation in a range of contexts.
