A professional experience placement of up to 20 days (as required for accreditation and approved by the Course Director) in a secondary school setting.
This subject gives the student the opportunity to commence the exploration of a relationship(s) between practical and disciplinary knowledge of teaching. The student is required to successfully complete a professional experience program of up to 20 days (as required by accreditation requirements and approved by the Course Director). The student will engage with issues of teaching and learning, classroom and behaviour management, planning and assessment. There is a clear expectation that the student will ensure her/his developing understandings of appropriate curriculum, adolescence and social justice issues are reflected in the teaching programs undertaken in the school context.
