Professional experience placement in one K-6 school setting of up to 30 days, or as required for accreditation.
This subject will enable pre-service teachers to integrate their knowledge and skills as emerging professionals by successfully completing a thirty (30) day professional experience in a primary school setting. Pre-service teachers will, in collaboration with their associate teachers, plan, teach and assess a variety of curriculum areas as appropriate. This experience will provide pre-service teachers with an opportunity to reflect on the work of primary school educators. This experience will contribute to the students professional development as a teacher. The pre-service teachers will provide evidence of their commitment to, and progression in developing competence in the seven Australian Professional Standards for Teachers at Graduate level.
