EPT433 Professional Experience 2 (8)

This subject will enable students as preservice teachers to integrate their knowledge and skills as emerging professionals by successfully completing a final supported 30 day professional experience program in a primary school setting. Students will explore practical means of integrating curriculum through effective design, implementation, assessment, evaluation and reflection on pedagogical practices. Students are required as preservice teachers to actively and professionally engage with the broad school community, and are encouraged and supported to undertake a placement in a rural community.

Students must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in EED408 Successful Teaching, EEB435 Indigenous Studies for Teachers, and EED409 Learning and Development K-6.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

  • be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal engagement with professional stakeholders

Workplace Learning

This subject contains a 30 days Compulsory Workplace Learning component.

Placement in a K-6 school teaching and being mentored in the K-6 curriculum and pedagogy.
