Topics covered include: the water cycle, hydrogeology, groundwater recharge / discharge determination, groundwater conceptual modelling, an array of monitoring and sampling methods, groundwater microbiology, groundwater geophysics, groundwater pollution, and groundwater and soil remediation. Students are then introduced to a range of groundwater management approaches including resource allocation, quality protection, and sustainability. This subject has no residential school.
