This subject provides an introduction to human services in Australia and to concepts relating to the context, history and contemporary issues underpinning welfare provision. This subject will advance students understanding about the characteristics of professional human services, and explore the impacts and complexities associated with poverty and social exclusion within specific fields and professional practice.
