Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to demonstrate an understanding of the structure, aims and content of the degree program;
  • be able to prepare a study schedule for themselves;
  • show that they can apply a range of study skills;
  • be able to explain the role, importance and availability of a range of University services; and
  • be able to explain how the University's online systems will facilitate their studies.

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:

- Structure and content of the BIS degree
- Introduction to first year subjects
- CSU online systems
- Support services available from Charles Sturt University for distance education students.

Residential School

This subject contains a 3 day Compulsory Residential School.
