The preservation of information resources for the long term has always been a challenging process and is today even more so given the proliferation of digital objects now being held by most institutions.
This subject provides an overview of preservation policies, passive and active preservation and conservation approaches for traditional materials, disaster planning, and approaches to dealing with digital collections.
