This subject introduces the web technologies used to manage information in todays digitally connected world so that information professionals can function effectively in knowledge creating environments. Students will research and learn the concepts, tools and techniques of web design and their practical applications while taking into consideration various design standards such as security and accessibility. A key aim will be to analyse and understand the organisational context, goals, and objectives to effectively transmit and share of information. Students will also learn how to make the online content informative and engaging to attract and hold website visitors attention. Therefore, gaining knowledge of fundamental web design concepts and their application in real world context is the main focus of this subject.
