Students are introduced to the role of the public library in supporting the learning and information needs of children and youth. They are also introduced to strategies for facilitating access to library services and for planning, developing and implementing programs for children and youth. Strategies for marketing and promotion of services catering to children and youth will also be explored and issues which may impact on the effectiveness of services will be examined.
