Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:
  • be able to evaluate the level and complexity of the business analysis effort needed for a software development project;
  • be able to select the appropriate elicitation technique to identify critical business requirements;
  • be able to analyze and refine business and functional requirements.

This subject will cover the following topics:
  • Templates for business analysis;
  • Techniques and documentation options;
  • Verification of requirements;
  • Analyzing, categorizing, and managing requirements;
  • Documenting and packaging requirements;
  • Stakeholder elicitation sessions;
  • Building strong relationships with project stakeholders;
  • Requirement reviews.
