ITI536 Supporting a Network Infrastructure (8)

This subject is for new-to-product support professionals who will be responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and supporting a network infrastructure. Before attempting this subject students should have a strong level of TCP/IP knowledge and the ability to install and configure a computer network environment and client computers.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

- be able to configure the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Server service;
- be able to configure the Domain Name System Server service;
- be able to configure WINS;
- be able to configure network security protocols using Public Key Infrastructure and Internet Protocol Security;
- be able to configure and support remote access to a network;
- be able to extend remote access capabilities of Radius by using Internet Authentication Service;
- be able to configure a network router;
- be able to deploy by using Remote Installation Services (RIS);
- be able to manage a network;
- be able to identify and resolve network connectivity problems by using troubleshooting tools and utilities;
- be able to enable network connectivity between Microsoft, NetWare, Macintosh, and UNIX networks.
