This subject focuses on the leadership skills, knowledge and understanding required to deliver successful projects as the head of the project team. The typical and common challenges that threaten projects are explored in detail and participants learn how to predict, avoid and deal with these challenges for positive outcomes. Team leadership and management techniques are compared and analysed as well as techniques to handle common interpersonal challenges. The core project processes are explored in overview and particular focus is applied to risk, quality and communications. Students will learn how to effectively engage stakeholders and maintain positive support for their project whilst avoiding or overcoming typical obstacles to success.
