In this subject, students are required to assess existing clinical guidelines and apply current scientific research evidence to improve clinical practices. This subject also enhances clinical decision-making processes through problem identification, development of information gathering strategies, evaluation of alternative approaches, contextualising research evidence, and evaluation of a course of action. The emphasis of this subject is on the importance of utilising the best evidence, based on current research literature, to engage in clinical decision-making in the field of paramedic and emergency care.
