SSS033 Transition from TAFE/VET to University (2)

The aim of this subject is to provide TAFE/VET students entering the University with background and skills required for successful study. It is recognised that the transition to this new study environment requires an understanding of the key differences in systems and expectations so that students can begin their university studies with confidence. It designed for students from the Australian VET sector and is delivered via a face-to-face workshop.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

  • understand and begin to develop generic academic literacy skills

  • find, extract, interpret and apply information to their learning from a broad range of sources and demonstrate practical skills in negotiating the online environment
