This subject aims to develop essential skills required for study within Agriculture, Food and Nutrition, Wine Science or Viticulture. The first module develops students' basic skills in mathematics and statistics through a closely guided, paced, supportive learning process. In the second module students are introduced to chemistry and learn to solve problems through the application of foundation principles. The preparation of students during this subject is enhanced by learning experiences that simulate those required for successful participation in the first year of undergraduate study.
