This subject examines and builds an understanding and appreciation of contemporary governance theory and practice within the Australian and higher education context. The subject also explores the roles and responsibilities of university governance mechanisms. Particular attention is given to the participants leadership role in university governance and the implications for ethical and financially sustainable practice within a highly politicised tertiary environment.
