Full-time 5 years (10.0 sessions)

This course combines fulltime and parttime study for a total duration of 5.5 years.

Normal course duration is the effective period of time taken to complete a course when studied Full-time (Full-time Equivalent Duration). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern for the actual length of study. Not all courses are offered in Full-time mode.

Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

Bachelor of Technology (Civil Systems) / Master of Engineering (Civil Systems)

Applicants must meet the following:

  • A completed High School Certificate (or equivalent) with an ATAR of at least 80 (including adjustment factors).

Whilst an ATAR of 80 is indicative of success in CSU Engineering, other life experiences also are valued. Mature aged students with construction trades are especially encouraged to apply.

OR

  • Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a credit Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
    OR
  • A completed AQF Diploma or higher level qualification.
    OR
  • A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a credit Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

English Language Proficiency

  • All applicants will need to complete and submit an online Supplementary Application Form.
    AND
  • Applicants who are short-listed on the basis of their Supplementary Application Forms will be required to attend an interview prior to offers being made.

Engineers Australia is the accrediting body.  Provisional Accreditation should take place before or during the first year in which the course is offered.  Full accreditation requires graduates from the course, and as such cannot take place until after the first cohort have completed their studies
