Admission Criteria

CSU Admission Policy

To be admitted to the Master of Social Work (Advanced Practice), students must have completed an Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)-accredited qualification, such as a Bachelor of Social Work or Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying).

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.

Course Structure

To graduate with the Master of Social Work (Advanced Practice), students must satisfactorily complete 64 points. Subjects have a value of 8 points unless otherwise stated.

Students completing the Coursework option must complete the 2 core subjects (16 points) and 6 restricted electives (48 points).

Students completing the Dissertation option must complete the 2 core subjects plus 2 compulsory subjects including a dissertation (totalling 40 points) and 3 restricted electives (24 points).
