Normal course duration is the effective period of time taken to complete a course when studied Full-time (Full-time Equivalent Duration). Students are advised to consult the Enrolment Pattern for the actual length of study. Not all courses are offered in Full-time mode.
Successful completion of a Bachelor Degree. Students who have not completed first-year chemistry, microbiology, botany and/or soil science will be required to complete relevant studies prior to admission, as advised by the Course Director. Students who do not have work experience in the Grape and Wine Industry will be required to complete WSC111 Grape and Wine Science.

Normal CSU Credit Policy will apply. Students who have completed CSU's Graduate Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology will receive full credit for their studies in the Master of Viticulture and Oenology.

The Master and Graduate Diploma make up an articulated set of courses and credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 96 points.
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
Students completing the Graduate Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology must complete 64 points at pass level or better to be eligible for graduation. Students must complete the core subject VIT502 and one of the streams at Foundation or Advdanced level depending on their particular background in the discipline (to be advised by the Course Director).
Students completing the Master of Viticulture and Oenology must complete 96 points at pass level or better to be eligible for graduation. Students must complete the subjects recommended for the Graduate Diploma, and the dissertation subject WSC502.
Students may be able to complete a broader selection of subjects mixing viticulture and oenology (mixed stream) as approved by the Course Director. Students without a background in Viticulture or Oenology and aiming to gain employment in the industry should complete one of the streams at the Foundation level.
