This subject requires students to investigate and put into practice the key financial skills and abilities needed for the effective financial management of small business. Students will simulate the experience of starting up a small business, sourcing finance and advice, research, marketing and management of a product.
A key learning outcome will be the production of a detailed business plan and a presentation on the concept of the business to specialist audiences. This subject will be of interest to existing or potential small business owners.
