This subject builds upon a students knowledge and experience in the assessment, diagnose and management of respiratory emergencies. This subject reviews respiratory anatomy and physiology. Students will study the pathophysiology of commonly encountered acute and chronic respiratory conditions, be able to provisionally diagnose these conditions and have an appropriate understanding of the critical care management of patients with respiratory conditions as implemented by intensive care paramedics.
