ASC416 Research Project (16)

In this subject, students are provided with an opportunity to undertake a non-honour's research project related to a discipline area selected by the student, in consultation with academic staff, towards their Bachelor's degree in the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences. Students will develop an increased knowledge in a nominated discipline, and develop research and associated written skills. The research project may incur operating costs and therefore students must have a formal arrangement in place to cover such costs before commencing the subject. In addition, students must also have, in addition to a project supervisor (CSU academic staff), approval from the appropriate CSU Research Ethics Committee prior to undertaking any research involving humans or animals.

This subject is a recommended elective within the Bachelor of Animal Science. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Equine Science may elect to do this research project instead of the practicum components (ASC380 + ASC381) in the last year of their degree or as an elective.
