This subject focuses on developing an appreciation and understanding of project management in the global, contemporary business environment. Project management has traditionally been very technically driven and the subject complements this important aspect of project management with strategic project selection, global and local implementation issues as well as the socio-cultural (people, culture and communication) aspects of successful project outcomes. The umbrella nature of project management also provides students with the opportunity to apply broader learning from diverse areas such as finance, organisational strategy and HRM disciplines.
