Students will carry out a supervised research project in an area that falls within the Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Science approved fields of research; accounting, finance, economics, marketing or management. The student will be able to test his/her ability to use management theory and research techniques in a business environment. This subject continues and completes the dissertation started in BUS416.

BUS416 This subject must be completed before BUS417.
The project topic is put forward by the individual student after counselling and guidance from staff. Approval for the topic is required from the Course Coordinator. Each project will have one or more of several components: a problem or opportunity existing either in one organisation or across an industry; a contribution to theory or practice. Students will be required to write a thesis with a maximum of 30,000 words, segments of which will be required to be submitted during the course of the project.
